Why supporting your local boardshop? Let’s start from the beginning.Your local boardshop usually has the passion because the owners are skaters, and the employees skates too. You can always expect the right advices and a proper quality equipment selection. But this is simply the reason why you should go there instead of the mall shops. Now we need to answer why supporting them? Well it is because this passion often leads to working extra hours to create experiences the customers can enjoy. They carry on the spirit of the sports by getting involved within their skateboard community in many ways. This is why we love to think they are such a positive influence on mental health. Organizing a skateboard contest takes time, and if you expect a great outcome, it become a full time job very quickly. The homies at SnowShed in Port Jefferson NY, have pulled off one for the books last week-end, and built the Mastic Beach Contest foundation strong enough for it to become a staple event each year. Rumors are they are already working on something else September 25th…. But for now, lets give a high-five to the man in charge of operations Mike Difrietus and look at these crispy photos from Anthony Memento. @momentoglass
Seeing happy kids always makes the adults smiles. These young skateboard gangs are the best epidemic in the country right now. Local Legend Shane McGrane was generous all day with the kids.
First place Youth went to young ripper @ashton_skate23 who was jumping the double set like a boss.
Cash Money is always a plus right? 2000$ to be exact. When we say support your local boardshop, think about who's giving back to the community in the form of DOLLARS!!!!! :-)
Each winner were also handed a recovery supply from CBDayz. After a long day of skateboarding, nothing feels better than the CBDayz cream on your ankles. Here is Aamir Dani Williams winner of the advanced group. Congrats bro!
CBDayz team rider @rix.mo just killing it as per usual.
When the best trick contest starts, the smiles remains.
When you are too good for the amateur category. A class act is to leave the park without telling anyone...ha
Fans are not only on Instagram, sometimes they are real and can support you with more than a post like! Go Roy!
