I absolutely love surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding the best. I also love mountain biking, rock climbing, building stuff, playing any games with my kids or taking them boarding with me. If I have the time for that, I love smoking a joint, stretching and relaxing. I love going on hikes and hanging with my wife and friends.
Well, CBD came into my life when going through some really tough experiences both for myself and my loved ones. My wife was going through breast cancer and chemo treatments. The Nausea and body aches was so bad after each of her 16 rounds of Chemo. CBD was getting a lot of attention so we started using CBD. CBD is something that has since become a part of our daily routine and in promoting positive wellbeing. Please note, CBD is not FDA approved for medical treatment or any other health condition. Please do your research and speak to your health care provider before trying CBD.
I started using CBD topicals on my lower-back and MCL when I had injuries there. I didn't want to use anymore Advil or any other types of Opioids. I started using more CBD products.
Then, I had the idea to start a CBD doggie treat company as a side gig. I thought it would be cool to help out our animals, etc
Guillaume and I linked up and shared our ideas and figured we should partner to start a CBD brand for humans first. We worked really hard, learned, experienced, failed, won, and now CBD is launched and we can only keep going up!!!
We are starting a movement within action sports of an athlete owned and operated CBD brand with the primary goal of influencing other action sports athletes to use CBD as a supplement to balance all human body systems and deal with the stressors of riding a lot...I prefer this versus using any types of Opioids, including Advil but mostly to fight the in-take of Oxycodone. I have seen too many people get hooked and have trouble getting off pain killer drugs and it, in return, messed up their career, family and social lives.
I sleep, I eat as healthy as possible (so less packaged food and more organic local food). I stretch or do a bit of yoga. I use CBD and always try to be in the moment when I am being active so that I avoid as many accidents as possible.
As of now, besides being one of the founders and working to gather the best team possible to work with and grow our brand to its potential. I am somewhat the social media guy, team manager and participate in promotion and product development.
Summer job? I pretty much work all year long on the YES. Snowboard Project and now CBDayz. I also take little jobs here and there. Construction, PA on some commercial productions, trimming flowers and i also have hosted kids skate camps and lessons.
I started snowboarding when I was 10 in Quebec in 1991. I loved it right away. I got hooked! I just wanted to skateboard on snow and learn tricks. There was so much to learn and I loved the ''youth against establishment'' attitude that skateboarding and snowboarding had at that time. It was attractive for sure to be different, a bit rebel and wanting to express myself and use my creativity and freedom through snowboarding. Skiing was already to strict, I was ski racing and hated it. Snowboarding was fun. It was punk-rock. I started competing regionally, then nationally. I was hooked up by Burton snowboards which I became loyal to for 14yrs or so. In 2008, I was cut from the team after I had been told, Burton was there for me for as long as I wanted to be in snowboarding. It was disappointing to say the least and a big hit on the wallet but it was a huge learning lesson and opportunity. Along with my friends and icons Romain de Marchi and JP Solberg, we founded YES. snowboards in 2008 and we've been riding, doing branding and marketing for our brand ever since. YES allowed me to keep going in my snowboarding career and do what I loved doing most: filming backcountry freestyle snowboarding. I was very fortunate to
film with most major production companies such as MackDawg production, KingPin production, Absinthe Films, Sherpas production, etc.
I got to travel to amazing places, experience new cultures, meet amazing life-long friends and snowboarding gave me the opportunity to travel to surf and buy a home in the tropic by the surf and so I will forever be grateful for snowboarding. YES is about giving back to this industry, lifestyle and community. I want to inspire and provide great boards and experiences for everyone.
The same reason why CBDAYZ was created. I want people to be able to follow their passion, push themselves, learn, progress and keep doing it for years and years to come.
I love FS 360 off a natural feature. I often dream of hitting a spine off a steep AK line and floating a phat FS 360 fall-line for a hundred feet or more... That would be epic! Although, a FS 360 of anything (even a small side hit) makes me smile and feel good.
Whistler Blackcomb and Revelstoke, BC, Canada.
I love the waves on the OSA in Costa RIca or Pavones is epic. I really love the waves in the Mentawais, Indonesia too.
Pacific Northwest concrete parks.

I loved Sipping Jet Streams from Taylor Steele. It's a surfing movie with a travel theme and an amazing sound track. It influenced my surfing a lot. Surfing was my snowboarding
motivation for years. I was pushing myself hard to get it done until May 17th. Then we would party for Norway day in Oslo. then i would travel to the surf. Snowboarding wise, I'd say SUBJEKT:HAAKONSEN was always my favourite. Music, tricks, attitude, etc Then I became friend with Terje as I got to travel with him with Burton and that all validated my inspiration. It's weird how things go. Skateboarding wise, I really loved the bird house movie The END. I thought it was very creative and unique when it came out and it inspired me a lot through the movie production trajectory I was on.
Best Life Advice?
Be honest with yourself. Love to live and live to love. Love is the key of it all.
What Are The Values That Drive You?
Positivity, respect, love, humility, friendship, creativity and service to others.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love standing sideways, it's part of my daily ritual. I love to have a good laugh and time with my family and friends. A good night out with some good friends is always good (dinner party and partying). YES ON LIFE! I love cooking with my wife and daughter. I love to build stuff around my house or skateboard ramps to enhance my friends and kids standing sideways experience.
Biggest Injuries?
I broke my back at L4-L5 a long time ago, before my pro career truly kicked off. I recovered but I have dealt with a bulging disk issue ever since so I have learn to manage it and choose wisely. I think this was actually really helpful in my decision making throughout the years. I always tried to pick the line with the least impact but I also wanted to go big and push the progression of the sport so I took my freestyle park game to the backcountry early on in my career, I loved riding half pipe and and powder... The deeper and steeper, the better was always my "Unofficial motto''.
